No Make Up November
Tomorrow is the start of No Makeup November! Let me explain. The fabulous girls at Bixby High school started the tradition a few years ago. It is taking a month from wearing make up to remind ourselves that God makes us beautiful not the goop we put on our faces, and that your heart is truly what makes a woman stunning! One of my students put it best when she said it's a month of good old humility. Though it is a student driven tradition I feel like I am suppose to participate this year. I am super excited and super nervous to start this journey! If you know me you know this is NOT going to be easy! I feel though that God has some awesome lessons for me in the next 30 days! Keep me in your prayers!

Halloween!!!
So, last night I attended a wonderful Halloween party hosted my the Squyres! I had a blast! Since Christy is a Phi Mu and Troy is a Sigma Chi a lot of their guests were their sisters and brothers; I felt like I was back in college! HA!
I dressed up as a Flapper!
We took a Phi Mu picture! Christy our lovely German hostess, Elizabeth the Umpa Lumpa, Mysha Thing 2, and Harlan the Goddess of Glitter
The Hillmans and a Ewer! So glad Daddy Ewers was in town! Love when I get to see him!!! Even Miss Ellarie came and played! (Isn't this the cutest group costume EVER!)
Miss Harlan and myself!!! Isn't she PHabulous!!!I LOVE Halloween and dressing up! Happy Halloween to everyone!

Introducing Miss Ellarie Paige!
Momma Update and the newest Phi Mu legacy!
Well, as some of you already know my Momma is in the hospital.
She is at the Hillcrest Heart hospital. It is a new facility and is VERY nice.
She had a simple operation last Friday, that went as perfect as it could have. The dye they used though didn't agree with her kidneys so she has had to stay in the hospital for observation. She is getting better everyday. We are praying for total healing of her kidneys. The doctor said earlier today that if things keep getting better than she may be able to go home as soon as tomorrow, which would be awesome!!!
Miss Ellarie Paige made her debut yesterday! She is PERFECT! Ellarie is literally a little doll. Beautiful just like her Momma. It is the coolest thing to see my friends becoming parents. It is still a little surreal when I see them holding a child that is theirs! Ha! I think back to when we were in high school and college and just love that I have been blessed enough to witness their lives unfold! (I'll post a picture of the little Princess after I get it oked with Mom!)

Since August!
Well, first I should apologize for my lack of blogging. Life Happened! Y'all know what I mean! Ha! I really want to keep up with this blogging thing, so that I can remember what went on! I heard a song today on the radio. It's a George Strait song that is written around the quote "Life's not about the breaths you take it's about the moments that take your breath away!" It's SO beautiful! (I added it below)
It's so true though. I have been inspired to start blogging about those moments! Which I must say I feel like I am blessed with A LOT of! So, here are all my MOMENTS since August!!! (BE WARNED a lot of my moments have to do with my students! Just remember they are my career, my husband, and my children! HA!)
One of my AMAZING seniors Makenzi decided after the death of a Sapulpa football player (they were our second game of the year) that Bixby, knowing tragically what it was like to lose a student, should step up and do something. Makenzi, her awesome and supportive mom Debbi, and a lot of selfless Bixby kiddos pulled together and sold shirts with the boy who died football number on it (#15). They ended up selling over 900 shirts and raising around $1500 for the family! I was and am SSSOOO proud! Bixby really does have the MOST amazing kids!!!!
Makenzi is the third pretty blonde from the left! Aren't my students all so beautiful!
These are a group of my Freshman. I made them take this photo with me so we will have it when they are seniors, which I know will be all too soon!
The next two pictures are just randoms from the Sapulpa game!
Our first pep rally of the year was for our 1st home game. We played the Mustang Bruins. The seniors decided that they wanted to do something different and fun at lunch on the day of the 1st pep rally to show school spirit. They decided to get a "horse" pinata for each lunch. (And yes they are donkeys but it's the thought that counts!)
And yes this is mostly seniors (as in a bunch of 18 year olds) fighting to get their fair share of candy!
The seniors this year have totally stepped up and are making their mark on BHS! They won the first pep rally's coveted Spirit Stick, which also happened to be the first time that the class of 2011 had ever won it! Can you tell they were excited!!!
There has been a baby boom in my life over the past year. Having a baby seems to be the thing to do! We recently celebrated the upcoming arrival (tomorrow to be exact) of Miss Ellarie Paige Hillman! I can't wait to meet her! We had a blast at her and Mysha's baby shower. She is a very BLESSED little girl! There are a lot of people anxiously waiting to love her.
My Bestie and Mr Conley came to play at the shower as well! Isn't he the CUTEST baby boy you have EVER seen? I know right!!! (He does look a little scared in this picture though! Ha!)
We had an 80s night at Switch! As you can see it you look around the backgrounds of the pics that the adults got WAY more into it than the youth!
And then it was Homecoming (and one of my fave parts of working at a high school; SPIRIT DAYS, which included my favorite spirit day NERD DAY)!!! Homecoming is a very special thing to this Oklahoma State sorority girl! The seniors OUT DID THEMSELVES!!!! I am SSSOOO PROUD of them! They literally impressed my socks off! They are SUCH hard workers!
I love that the starting line of Bixby football dresses up as well!
The seniors awesome hallway! There was a video at the end. I'll post it here later!
The first place float!
The BEAUTIFUL Homecoming Queen and myself! She is such a sweetheart!
This gorgeous sunset happened the night I took some maternity pictures! God is Good! Scenes like this are SUCH a blessing!!!
Look who found me at the Bixby Owasso game! I can't believe he's a senior! WOW, I really am old!
And I'll leave you with this awesomeness! Can someone say SPIRIT! They make me smile!!!!
XOXOXO

Ridin Dirty
School started this week. I had to report on Monday and the kiddos joined us teachers on Thursday! This time of year is always a little bittersweet for me. I LOVE summer and all the free time I have but I also LOVE being with my students. I am SO blessed! I LOVE my job!
Today STUCO held Mudfest, a little back to school soiree!
Here is what I saw as I walked up!
Some of my favorite girlies after enjoying the mud!
I wore old clothes in case the desire to play in the mud was too great to resist. I DO NOT like getting dirty, so I assumed that the temptation would NOT be there! I should have known that it didn't matter if I WANTED to join in on the mudding or not! I was "hugged" more than I ever have been! I was given a mud hat (that ended with my hair looking like I had dreads). I was pushed and pulled into the mud and various puddles! It was fun though! I ended up playing Mom and hosing everyone off!
This is before i was attacked for the 17,oo0 time! My hair may never be the same again!
I had a TON of fun with kiddos and look forward to an awesome year ahead!!!

Day 5
Day 5:
My favorite quote is more of a life motto for me! "When you work, WORK HARD and when you
play, PLAY HARD!!!!"
On a completely different note I report to school tomorrow. BOO! Please pray I have a better attitude about going back. It's not the whole school experience I am dreading just a few dreadful individuals I am forced to be around. I can't wait until Thursday, that's when the kids come!!!!

Day 4
Day 4:
My all time favorite book has to be "To Kill a Mockingbird."
I read it the first time my sophomore year of high school and it was LOVE! I will probably have a child names Scout! Ha!
Recently I have gotten into the Nora Roberts "Bridal Quartet." They come out about every 6 months. I am currently waiting for the last to be released. They are SUPER good and SUPER addicting! The series follows four best friends that own a bridal venue called "Vows" and all the services that go along with a wedding. The first book is "Vision in White," and is about the photographer Mac.
The second is called "Bed of Roses," and is about the florist Emma.
The third book, which just came out in May is "Savor the Moment," and is about the cake baker Laurel.
The final book, which is scheduled to be released in November is "Happily Ever After," and is about the wedding and business manager Parker. I CAN NOT wait to read this book! I have already pre-ordered it on my Nook! (Yes, I am a nerd and have a Nook!!!)
Have a blessed day y'all!
